This is an easy way to make some great buffalo wings. By boiling the chicken first, you keep the chicken moist before it hits the grill to finish off. With a thick coating of hot sauce, these will be hot and spicy.
Ingredients
-
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon salt
-
5 pounds chicken wings, tips removed
-
1/2 cup honey
-
1 cup hot sauce
-
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
-
1/4 cup lime juice

-
Place honey into a microwave-safe dish and heat in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds. Enough to loosen it a bit. Stir.

Combine warmed honey with hot sauce, butter, lime juice, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

-
Divide sauce in half once the chicken wings are boiled (but not necessarily cooked through), and place wings in half of the sauce.

-
Add wings to the hot grill and cook until done, about 10 minutes or until the internal temperature of wings reaches 175 F to 185 F.

Remove wings from the grill when done and dip in the reserved sauce. Serve hot. Rewarm sauce if needed. Just place into the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds, stir, and it's ready to go to the table.
