Experience

Stacey Colino is a former writer for Verywell Fit covering indoor cycling. Since 2000, Stacey has been an indoor cycling junkie. She rides outdoors, too, but after indoor cycling became her go-to way to get her sweat on, she began teaching classes at various health clubs. Along with being a certified spinning and group exercise instructor, Stacey is the co-author with David Katz, MD of Disease-Proof: The Remarkable Truth About What Makes Us Well and Good Food—Fast! with celebrity chef and competitive cyclist Jason Roberts. She has received numerous awards for her articles, which have appeared in Real Simple, The Washington Post Health section, Parents, MORE, Shape, Self, Family Circle, Cosmopolitan, Prevention, Health, Elle, Glamour, Sports Illustrated, and many other magazines.

Education

In addition to her certifications as an exercise instructor, Stacey has a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, and a master’s degree from Northwestern University in Chicago.
