- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2021Purchased this for my trekking trip in 2016. 30 min into the trek heavy rain came, and glad this jacket kept me dry. I've used it on and off to walk my dog during typhoon seasons but 3 years later, the inside of the jacket started flaking off. I've kept it around as I didn't want to spend money on another rain jacket (I paid close to $80USD for mine originally). It still worked OK in a light drizzle. Used it again just now for a dog walk in a heavy rain storm, definitely did not keep me dry.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2021I've owned two of these jackets (neither purchased from Amazon). Each one lasted a few years before the waterproofing started to flake off and/or discolor. I would expect better quality at this price point. It is now time to buy another raincoat, but I will not be buying another one of these. I've had jackets last a lot longer that were much less expensive. Another flaw of this one is that if the jacket isn't zipped all the way up, the rough side of the velcro rubs against the Marmot logo and makes it look fuzzy after a while.
