If you are considering the coiled version
Purchased the coiled version for use with my Nexus 6p. The charger arrived well packaged which gave it a bit of a premium feel. It has a modern jet black look with a lazer cut accent. There is a small blue LED that glows when plugged in indicating it is receiving 12v from your car charger. The glow is very faint and not overwhelming which is a plus. When plugged in it only protrudes about 1.5" from the cars 12v charger. This charger does support the fast charging feature which is the main reason for purchasing it. Now I can charge my phone to 100% in my vehicle and it only takes about an hour.I did opt for the coiled version but if I had to repurchase I would go with the straight cord. Comparing this to the PC sync cord that comes with your Nexus 6p it is about the same length. In its coiled state it sits around 10". If I stretch it out with a fair amount of pressure it stretches to around 20" or so. The item description says it can stretch between 100 to 150cm, which is about 40 to 60 inches. That is simply unrealistic. At best the cord reaches around 40 inches when fully stretched. The biggest problem with the coiled version is that you will always have the resistance of the coil tugging at the charging port in your phone. Even though I have purposely stretched out the the coils so that they are at a more relaxed state, I find myself having to support the connection to my phone with a finger repeatedly for one main reason. I feel like over time it will prematurely wear out the the port on my phone from the charger jack tugging at an angle. This would clearly be a non issue with the straight cord. The only positive thing about the coiled version is that it looks neater when not in use. If you don't use your phone at any point while in the vehicle, and just simply need a "dock" to charge, I would recommend the coiled version. Otherwise, for the reasons stated above, I would recommend going with the straight cord instead. Either way I am extremely happy that now I can fast charge my phone while on the go. I would definitely recommend this product.

      Update: previous review is below.

I believe now that I received a defective unit. I was contacted by the company shortly after leaving my previous review and they offered to send me a new charger, and I accepted. I tested out the new unit, and it charges very fast, with no problems at all so far. Another thing that I noticed that was different with this one is there is no delay when plugging in my Pixel XL. With the old charger, I could plug it in, then a few seconds later it would start charging. With this one, I see the charging icon pop up as soon as it was plugged in.

Top notch customer service, thank you.

      Old review:

I bought this charger three weeks ago because it had good reviews and was recommended by Benson Leung, however, my experience was less than perfect. I only used this charger a handful of times, maybe half a dozen at most, and it worked perfectly every time. I had forgotten to charge the phone Saturday night after heavy use almost all day, so I woke up to a phone at 20 percent charge. I had to be at work, so I didn't have time to use the OEM charger, but I figured that it wouldn't be a big deal, as I had this great car charger that charged just as fast. I hopped in my car, plugged my phone in, and started driving. When I stopped at the gas station, I noticed that the phone wasn't charging, so I unplugged the phone and the charger, plugged everything back in, and still nothing worked. I unplugged the charger and left it unplugged throughout the day, and tried it again after work. Still nothing. This thing has completely stopped working after only three weeks. I've already started the return process, and I'll be looking for a replacement soon.

Tldr; worked great for three weeks, then just quit working altogether.

I purchased this because I have the new MOTO Z FORCE DROID which requires a C input. This charger is GREAT! No problems! The charger charges my beast of a phone in about fifteen minutes, and the cord is a good length. The C-USB connector fits snug and is not lose. There is also another input for a USB cord so that you can charge another device too (probably be good for charging, say, your tablet and cell). The charger is sleek and has a little blue lighting, and clicks in and out of the cigarette lighter effortlessly-- no spinning it around to get a connection. I am very pleased with this product, and shipping was fast. Also, if you are (like how I was) looking for a type C charger (my Z FORCE), this one is a GREAT deal-- IIt does the turbo-charging and Verizon wanted $40 for a simple charger WITHOUT an extra charging port (this charger has a C wire connected to it, and then a slot to insert another cord if you'd like to charge more than one thing at once). I've been using this for about four months and have had no issues.

I bought this charger to charge my Nexus 6p. I previously spent quite some time trying to find out which car chargers were compatible with Google's implementation of rapid charge (different than Qualcomm quick charge) and looked up reviews done by the infamous Google engineer and reviewer, Benson.

Even though I didn't see a review he made of this one, I can tell you that it works very well for charging the Nexus 6P. Rapid charge seems to charge seemingly as fast as it does on the stock charger. This is not on the basis of technical benchmarks as Benson does, but rather it is based off my personal impression of the charger and how much my battery percentage increases on my daily commutes to school and work.

One thing I cannot attest to its performance while charging two devices. I haven't used the USB port in tandem with the USB C charger yet, so I can't tell you how it performs charging two devices at the same time.

A small note on the build quality: it's light and made of metal, with chamfered edges around the face. Seems sturdy enough, and has a small blue LED light to indicate that it is plugged into a power source. The USB C charging connector seems to be of high quality, with a single metal piece for the head of the connector (Benson's reviews have indicated that a singular metal connector piece usually indicates a higher quality connector). Overall, good build quality. We will see how it stands the test of time

Edit: I was contacted very quickly after posting my review by the company. They offered to replace or refund the cost of the charger. I am very impressed when a company takes the time to contact a customer and offer to correct a problem. For their courtesy and integrity, I have changed this to a 4 star review and changed the title. I haven't changed the original review because that is the experience that I had with the product.

I purchased this 02/16 and have had no problems with it until the past couple of months. The first problem I encountered was having to adjust the plug in the power outlet; it couldn't be pushed in fully, I'd have to insert it then pull it out slightly and rotate it in the socket to get a connection (other chargers did not have this issue) Once I had it positioned it was fine. In the past 2-3 weeks the cord on the USB end doesn't work unless it sits motionless when I align the cord just so til it has a good connection. This isn't a charger that is put through any stress and strains, in fact it sits in one place for the majority of the time. I charge my tablet which sits on my bed in my truck or on my table at night (I'm a truck driver). This charger should have lasted years in comparison to other chargers I've used for phones which take significantly more abuse. Otherwise it charged quickly and the additional USB port was reliable (more than the hardwired cable).
