- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2022Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchasePurchased in April of 2021. Great for fitness tracking, sleep, etc. Better than more expensive Fitbits. In July of 2022, the connection to the band broke off. Not the band, I've gone through a number of bands, but the connector that goes from band to watch. Researched replacing watch. Decided best option was super glue band to connector. Now October 2022, band connector to watch itself has broken...researching replacements and still not to keep on any of the available upgrades, so I've now super glued two parts together. This is probably the last thing I can glue before watch definitely needs replacement. I'll probably buy the charge 4 again, because none of the Fitbit newer models seem to have all the features that the charge 4 has...possibly I should just glue the face to my arm
- Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2024Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseI am very pleased with my purchase!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2024Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseWhat I like about this device is the data I receive with respect to sleep patterns, heart rate, O2 sat levels, and number of daily steps. What I do NOT like about the Charge 4 is that the display faded to almost nothing after two years to the point where it was impossible to tell time in daylight. Not good
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2022Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseI primarily use the following features:
- Sleep tracking
- Step counting
- Tracking my Jogging (GPS/route tracking, time, Heart Rate, etc)
For the first two, it's all aces. Quite happy, though I don't always understand why it sometimes gets the more verbose sleep logging and others it doesn't. Step tracking is fine, though I mainly like the percentage circle (not micro-managing my steps).
The last one is why it loses some stars. I don't like having to deal with touch screen when I'm sweaty, it's unreliable. But the biggest irritation is that about 75% of the time, it won't connect to GPS and therefore doesn't accurately measure my route or distance and therefore doesn't have correct results. It's infuriating because I do the same route each time and sometimes it does, most times not, and I have no explanation why.
Other thoughts:
- Battery life is fine, no complaints
- The stock band is awful, I couldn't find a comfortable notch, but replaced with a stretchy one with variable sizes and it's sooo much better.
But the GPS issue is honestly one of the biggest reasons I didn't jump for the Charge 5, since my understanding is that the guts aren't much different. Your mileage may vary (if your GPS connects or not, hah).
- Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2022Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseFirst of all, the color was listed as Rosewood, which I took to be a red-brown , but is actually dark purple (eggplant). Fine, I wanted to use it right away, so I kept it. The bigger issue, is that I’ve only had it for 6 months and it’s broken already! I was walking and suddenly it fell off. I picked it up and discovered that the part of the fit bit that goes inside one end of the band had cracked in half. To make matters worse, when it hit the ground, the part that had cracked off inside the band was dislodged and I couldn’t find it in the dark. For over $120, I expect something to last longer than 6 months.
UPDATE (5/27/22)
I used my Fitbit app to contact customer service and explained my problem. The representative asked me to send a photo and within a few minutes was told I would be sent a new device! It was a very simple process and the rep was very courteous. It’s nice to know that there are still companies that stand behind their products!

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2020Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseUPDATE: Despite how expensive this thing was, it broke in a few months. Just completely stopped working. Cheap piece of garbage not worth the money!
This is my first Fitbit and it was not a good experience. The Charge 4 gave me a lot of trouble initially starting it up and getting it to connect to the Fitbit app. I even had to contact customer service and it took several tries. After that, I've been using it a few weeks to test it out and so far, the performance has not been worth the $150. The accuracy is pretty good and I enjoy the sleep mode (when it works), that it measures heartbeat and steps and calories burned and whatnot. That's all good. However one of the promises of this Fitbit is that it can connect to Spotify through the Fitbit. I have done everything necessary to try and set it up but my Fitbit refuses to link up with the app. Considering this is one of the main reasons I bought the Charge 4, I'm extremely disappointed.
There's also really not much to the Charge 4. I thought I did my research beforehand pretty well but apparently I missed that the apps you can use with Fitbit really only work with the Versa's according to the Fitbit app store.
Basically, the Charge 4 isn't bad but it's just a tracker. I could have bought one of the much, much cheaper fitbits and gotten the exact same results. So the Charge 4 doesn't give anything special to its customers aside from being waterproof and able to track heartbeat (which a few other models do too). There's nothing in particular that makes having this model worth it and I'm pretty upset that I spent $150 on a Fitbit that barely works, constantly has issues, can't use apps in general or even the apps it promised such as Spotify, and has no interaction with the screen besides scrolling to look at stats.
I might look into other models of Fitbit but honestly, this hasn't been a good first impression and it doesn't make me want to buy their products in the future.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2024Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseI’ve done through 2 Fitbit Charge 4’s then I went to Apple Watch 9. Had to charge that watch every day since I wanted my sleep info. I know the sleep mode has changed in an update, but I still miss my Fitbit! Seriously considering sending Apple Watch back and buying another Charge 4. Battery died on my old one (after I was down to using superglue for the parts to stay on!). Miss it.

5.0 out of 5 stars fits nice and is durable
Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseI had the Fitbit Charge HR back in 2016. It was a weird "pill" shaped dohickie that slid into a rubber jacket cozy kind of wrist strap. This one seems to be an evolution of design for the strap. Likely they took into consideration the feedback from customers who had the old design and complained the wristband degraded after only a couple months of regular wear use.
This band feels comfortable and is not wearing out fast. But, it is also easy to replace too if it does.
I like how this has a GPS in it. I am able to track my walk and jogging now without needing to have runkeeper or some other app and a smartphone with me. I sort of prefer to just go out for exercise with a regular MP3 player and basic wired headphones, and not even bring the special and expensive smart phone with me right. So the GPS is a welcome nice feature that can give Garmin sport watches a run for their money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very bad quality product
Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchasePlease note that I am writing this review after using the product for 18 months I bought this in Nov 2020 just after the warranty was over in Nov 2021 the GPS started malfunctioning , so only way I could use GPS is by connecting it to phone
Within few months the strap quality was so bad that it cracked I started using the larger strap within a few months that cracked as well . A month ago even before completing 18 months the battery started draining very badly . It would be full charged one moment and then it would be at 0 charge just 2 hours later.
So much that now the whole Fitbit is unusable and has no value . I have to now buy a new a new fitness band 14k investment gone to 0 in 18 months

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr zufrieden (iOS)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value!
Color: Rosewood/RosewoodEdition: RegularVerified PurchaseLove my fitbit for the features I use. I have owned this Fitbit since August and have not been disappointed. It works reliably, synchronises with the Fitbit app. I use the basic features of exercise, steps, sleep analysis and fluid count. It maintains its charge for an average 4 days.
I give it credit for disciplining my daily health and fitness.
