I love these boots. They're super warm and waterproof which is great for wearing in deep snow with freezing temperatures. It took several wearings to stretch out the inner boot liner but now they are a perfect fit. Highly recommend!

I know these are supposed to be a utility boot, but the rubber part is enormous and the liner was too small for my feet. If the fit had been better, I am sure that they would be a great work boot.

I sent them back. Had to call the company for a return label because they they were purchased through Amazon. The seller (Moose Jaw) was wonderful!

I am a graduate student and take the bus to campus everyday, so I needed some good winter boots to help me through the awful winter we've been having. I saw many students around campus wearing Sorel brand boots so I thought I would check them out. They arrived much later than I expected (this might not be the case with all shippers), but when they arrived I was really pleased.

    Pros:
+ Cute! Within one day I received quite a few compliments on the look and style. There are so many options of Sorel boots to choose from; this style had many colors available. There are no zippers - you simply pull the boot on and off.
+ Warm! My old winter boots always left my toes cold and numb. I wore these all day in cold weather and my feet were warm but not sweltering. (There is a removable liner - without it I would probably have to wear thick socks).
+ They are waterproof - I tested this out by sloshing through snow puddles, and no water got through!
+/- I was expecting them to withstand the ice a little better and not be as slippery, but maybe I just need to get used to them more and how to walk in them. A few times I would walk into some ice and my foot would slip a little. I was expecting them to be slip-proof!
+ Very well made! I can tell they will last for a long time.

    Cons:
    - I usually wear a size 8/8.5 in all shoes, so I ordered a size 8 and they are slightly too large. It's not too much of a problem, but I wore them all day they first day I got them, and by the end of the day my ankles were sore and blistery from rubbing against the sides. This could be due to how tight I tied them, so I may have to experiment! (And since you pull them on and off, a smaller size might have been difficult to get on and off).
    - HEAVY. I am not used to such a heavy boot. They are obviously very well made, but I felt like I got a calf and leg workout just wearing them for a few hours. I certainly do not feel graceful or dainty walking around!
    - The fur lining has been "shedding" everywhere - again, this might be because they are new and maybe leftover fuzz just needs to be removed?

All in all, a warm and sturdy boot that will definitely last a long time. I might suggest ordering a size smaller than normal (but like I said, I might just have to experiment with how I tie them... and that might affect how you get them on and off). I will see how they hold up against more snow and ice. So far, I am really pleased with the purchase.

These are the best and the warmest pair of sorels that I have owned. I love the color choices, too.

The boots would be fine except for one major problem. They hold the cold in better then they keep it out. Walking around the woods in -10f for 30 mins the cold pushed straight from the soles into the boots very quickly. I was constantly moving and I was wearing thick wool socks. My feet were really cold by the time I got back inside. I have a pair of Valenki Russian Wool boots and have trekked through the woods in -25f and then on the ice fishing for two hour periods and my feet have never gotten cold. I imagine all the positive reviews on these boots are from people in town or a city that are pavement walking in and out of buildings being exposed only for minutes at a time. If you are actually going to utilize these boots for what they are intended for be prepared to be disappointed. If you want a truly good pair of winter boots that can handle the toughest cold. Get some Valenki boots. They have them on here on Amazon for $70 or so. You need to get a pair of galoshes for them which you can get for $5 or less. You can find the boots even cheaper on other sites if you look.

I am very happy with my purchase. I live in wisconsin, and for the first time when out on the ice helping new snow-kiters, I had warm feet!
Sizes run big. I am a 6.5 normally and got a 5 that with mid/heavy weight smartwool socks is snug, but works.

    Love them.
